JPG to ICO Converter (Free Online)
Turn JPEG images into ICO icon files in your browser. Create favicons and Windows icons from JPG; choose layer sizes and download instantly. No server upload.
JPEG (JPG) photos work fine as a starting point. Because JPG does not support transparency, your ICO layers will have no alpha channel unless you switch to PNG or WebP for transparent icons.

FAQ â JPG to ICO
Why does my icon have a white or solid background?
JPEG compression does not store transparency. If you need a transparent icon, export your artwork as PNG or WebP first, then convert.
Can I use the ICO as a Windows app icon?
Yes. The downloaded ICO follows the common multi-resolution format Windows expects for shortcuts and executables (when you assign icons in properties).
Is there a file size limit?
Large JPEGs are accepted up to 5 MB per file in this tool. Very large photos may be overkill â consider resizing in an editor first for faster loading.
